Storybook Project

A team of volunteers from Grace regularly visits Logan and Taylorville correctional centers to facilitate the Story Book Project.  In this program incarcerated parents choose a donated book and the volunteers record the parent reading the book from prison. A package with the book and the CD recording is mailed to the children so they may read along. Since this is the only connection many children have with their parent, the Grace volunteers can share many heartwarming stories.  For more information click here to visit the Lutheran Social Services of Illinois Storybook Project website.
